The Program

The SDYC Match Race Program is off to a strong start with 6 J-22s and full calendar for 2010. We've still got funds to raise, to get to our goal of seven boats, if your interested in making a contribution please contact Robert Anderson.

Progress to date:

• Some 40+ skippers and crew attended the two Clinics in the summer of 2008, as well, as the Umpire Clinic and Match Race event in January of 2009.
• Approximately 8 individuals participated (as Umpires-in-Training) in the two summer Clinics and January Umpire Clinic. These individuals have made significant progress towards goal in obtaining their Umpire Credentials and are a vital part of the infrastructure necessary to host events
• Thanks to generosity of private contributors, we have acquired 6 J-22's and will be acquiring an additional 3, for a total of 7, near term.
• We will be hosting the Prince of Wales Qualifier June 2010.
